Air horn install
Hello all!
I've tried everything to get this air horn to work. Looked at every diagram possible and still no luck. I bought it off amazon and it came with a relay. Do I even need that? I was told that i only need a postive wire coming off the horn button? I have a seperate 12v battery that i run my lights and stereo off of. Please someone help this newbie out! Thanks in advance! |

Re: Air horn install
If it was shipped with a relay, I'm guessing the compressor needs it. Possibly tell it when to kick on and shut off?

Re: Air horn install
It will work without the relay, but then you are running full current-draw thru the switch. The compressor only runs when the button is pushed. If you run Pos. and Neg. to the compressor from a battery, does it run and sound the horn?If so,it may have a defective switch.,If not the compressor is bad. They use ceramic magnets in them,if they get dropped or hit,the magnets crack/shatter.The relay will have 4-wires. Ground, Batt + input, Switch-Power, & Output + to component.Hope this helps.
