adjusting or removing a govenor
1983 Marathon with the Robbin 2 stroke motor,244cc,looking for info on removing the govenor or adjusting it...thanks

If you look at the driven clutch, the one on the rear axle, you'll see that it has a plastic cover. There is a nub in the center of it that the governor lever rides on. As the clutch expands, it pushes the governor lever and starts shutting your throttle. Now look at that lever and you'll notice there is a cable running from it up to your throttle on the carb. I have no idea how to adjust it, I just remove it. All of it.
