Default 1986 Ez Go golf cart trouble starting hot!

I need your help!
I have a 1986 Ezgo golf cart. The cart runs fine cold once it warm up doesn't want to start until it sits a bit. I do not lose spark. I am fouling plugs tho! Pull plug and clean or replace and fires up! I also notices the engine compartment get very hot! Is there a fan on this machine?

One more dumb question. The carb has a linkage on top. theres one short linkage hooked up one not. Over by the head down about 10 inches theres a value with linkage that looks like it would or should connect. What is that value and what does it do.

Thank you for your help and time... Mike

Wish I could help you Mike, but know nothing about 2 cycles, do you have the right gas/oil mix?

I do hear that crank seals go bad on them, suck air and cause hard starting.
