Default 2004 E-Z-GO TXT Rear View Mirrors

I'm brand new to all of this. Recently bought a used E-Z-GO TXT (2004). I really like the Wink 5 panel rear view mirrors, but they don't fit this model. What I don't like is the model mirror that does. :) That being the one that looks about the same as a regular car rear view. Anyone have any good suggestions for rigging up a Wink 5 panel or some other buying options?

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

I tried that, it only stayed attached for a two days.
Of course, I drive over some rough roads and across some bumpy fields.
I ended up with a convex center mirror bolted into metal roof support.
I like it better, no wiggling image like the wink type.

I've been using the 6" convex mirrors for 4 years now on all terrain types.
I'm very happy with it. No jiggling and when someone is behind you, you don't get all of that glare.
Happy trails!

pssst CTD ..... Loctite is ineffective when the threads are pulled out with the screw/bolt.

As far as I know, my cart top is stock EZGO and the material it is made of is simply too soft to keep the threads from striping out when the amount and type of forces being applied while traveling on rough roads and fields, occurred repeatedly.

I tried larger screws and courser threads with same results. I was going to sand the paint off the bracket face and use car molding adhesive, in addition to the screws, which probably would have held it on, but that wouldn't have solved the wiggle problem, so I gave up on the five panel type mirror and went another route.

If your roads and fields are smoother than mine, mounting the brackets to the roof ought to work just fine. It didn't for me, but it might for others.
