Replaced Hubs on EZ Go TXT, is it the rear end?
I am new to electric and picked up a used TXT ('01 I think). Shortly thereafter something stripped - I can hear the engine spinning when I hit the gas, but no go. I bought the upgraded hubs from ScottyB and some new axles, but when I pulled it all apart, the hubs were not the problem. How can I tell if I have a bad rear end or engine? simple rebuild? Thx

If both hubs are good as you say and motor is spinning then you have to pull motor to check the input shaft.

I to have a problem as you have described and was hoping that you would
reply back to us with what you found out.... I am thinking that I have to drop the entire rear axle the sound is coming from the middle center section..... is the input shaft a week spot on these carts? and what else should I look for? |

I have checked the hubs the axle does not move and the wheels do not move when jacked up..... and the gas pedal is pressed.

Input shaft bearing is the usual problem with noise from center.

I do not see a bearing stopping the cart from moving unless it was locked up eelded itself to the axle. Thas just not the case im my situation. It sounds like gears stripped

Input shaft gears are a very likely suspect, and easier than splitting the case.

Would there be a diagram of the case?
