2006 pds no reverse

I have a PDS 2006 36 volt cart with forward but no reverse when in reverse it tries to move but then quits . It beeps a code 4 then 3 . ANY HELP

Also, check for worn insulation on the two smaller wires going to the motor.

Does the solenoid click when pedal is pushed in reverse?

Clicks in forward but not in reverse

Put Run/Tow switch in Tow
Unplug J1 (10 Pin Plug) on controller, spray clean contacts in both plug and jack.
Replug J1, flip back to Run and try it.

If still No-Go in reverse, measure voltage on J1 Pin-2. Should be full pack voltage when F/R is in R. (Key ON and Run/Tow in Run)

If no or low voltage, check out the F/R switch on the dash and the wires between it and the controller.

FWIW: The only external difference between F and R in a stock PDS is that in F, J1 Pin-3 has voltage and in R, J1 Pin-2 has voltage. Everything else is inside the controller. If you have Voltage on Pin-2 when the F/R is in R, than the controller is bad.

BTW: The cart moves a bit in reverse due to the charge put on the filter capacitors via the Pre-Charge resistor. If the solenoid would close, the cart would continue moving in reverse.

I took all the connections loose and cleaned ,sprayed with terminal protector put back together and everything works great . Let me say that all connector looked like new and showed no sign of corrosion.Yhanks everyone for your help
