93 gas club car no spark
I've replaced amost all elecrtical parts and fluids filters and hoses, now have good fire to spark plug wire but no spark at business end of old or new plug. Local shop mechanic says this is impossible. Baffled in Bama ... appreciate any advice. THX !

Welcome to BGW JR!
If... you have good spark at the plug wire, it maybe a good possibility that your spark plug boot (cap) is bad/broken, it is replaceable! roll back the rubber sleeve, and unscrew it from the plug wire... and reverse for installation! Here's a link to a new plug cap: Click>>>> http://www.golfcartking.com/Club-Car...Cap-p/6351.htm |

Re: 93 gas club car no spark
nope , checked for voltage at business end of spark plug and had 18-20 volts , so plug wire boot is fine. Just no spark from center electrode to outside metal prong on the spark plug. But it will sure shock the #### out of my bare hand. Any other possible solutions are surely appreciated. I'm totally baffeled. Even tried plug unscrewed and held to motor ground wire bolt ... no spark. Local cart mechanic is also clueless. Thx for any possible solution .

Re: 93 gas club car no spark
another puzzling session with my 93 gas club car. Still unable to get any spark at end of plug. Have about 20 volts when checked between plug end and neg. on battery - but no spark. Will bite my bare hand though. Does anybody have any ideas ? My local mechanic said this is physically impossible so he's no help. THX for any help. I'm still baffled in Bama ...

Re: 93 gas club car no spark
It takes like 10,000-40,000 volts to fire a spark plug..
I'm not sure how you're measuring it, but if you get a max of 20 volts, you're never going to see a spark. I'd be looking at the ignition coil. |

Great News !!! Break out the bubbles. I talked to Dan at Parts 4 Carts and he said even though I had put a new igniter on a week ago , I needed another. Solved everything. She's running like a brand .new one ! Thx to you all at Buggies gonewild . I have learned a lot from your site. Keep up the good work
