If you haven't already, look at the FJP project file that I posted here. You can use it with the programming software without connecting to your cart and then dig thru all the other tabs and parameters offline.

Really great info all. Thanks!

Programming question. I would like to set my low setting top speed to match my speed limit in my neighborhood so i can just pedal to the floor and the old ladies wont report me to the HOA police. Is there a way to tune in the low speed RPM?

Thanks for any help.

Any experience with the electronic brake adjustment to make it not so harsh when braking?

It varies with controller type and associated software.
For the EV48-400 and EV48-400-A :

Turn on/off Electromagnetic brake (motor brake) function on these tabs:
- Calibration>Electromagnetic brake
- Calibration>Slop control

Turn on the Electromagnetic brake (motor brake):
- Set “Electromagnetic brake control type” to “Driver4”
- Set “Slop control mode” to “Stop in slop”
- Adjust “Electromagnetic brake release speed”
- Adjust “Electromagnetic brake release delay time”

Turn off the Electromagnetic brake (motor brake):
- Set “Electromagnetic brake control type” to “Disable”
- Set “Slop control mode” to “Slide in slop”

Besides EM settings, there's also the deacceleration settings in Zonal tab for when foot is off pedal

Calibration > Zonal gear mode >

1 partition deceleration of P mode (rpm/s)
2 partition deceleration of P mode (rpm/s)
3 partition deceleration of P mode (rpm/s)
4 partition deceleration of P mode (rpm/s)
5 partition deceleration of P mode (rpm/s)
6 partition deceleration of P mode (rpm/s)
7 partition deceleration of P mode (rpm/s)

- Setting higher “rpm/s” will provide stronger deceleration on Forward direction at
high speed mode (P mode) .
- Conversely setting smaller ““rpm/s” will provide softer deceleration

It`s recommended to adjust all the rpm range deceleration value synchronously otherwise the deceleration process may not be smooth, you may experience uncomfortable deceleration.
