Help me decide ... Controller upgrade or Motor Upgrade?

Hello all - struggling between a couple of options for a speed upgrade. I would really appreciate your thoughts and any advice you could offer. I currently have a 2017 CC Precedent with 20" tires and speed code 4. Getting about 20 mph top speed (as expected). I'm in Myrtle Beach so no hills to worry about and the cart is driven exclusively on paved roads.

I would like to increase the top speed of the cart to about 25 mph and I'm looking at two options:

1. Upgrade just the motor (maybe a Plum Quick Bandit) and leave everything else stock.
2. Do a controller upgrade (Alltrax or Navitas) along with the requisite solenoid and (maybe) cables and use the stock motor.

I believe that either will get me where I want to get as far top-end speed. The motor upgrade would be cheaper (1/2??), but the controller upgrade kit would be more future proof and provide me with something to tinker with and tweak. I think the Bandit would remove the regen braking with no option to get it back - but I'm just not sure if I care (or should care).

Assuming they both give me close to the same top-end speed, would there be much difference in the handling and responsiveness of the cart? I don't think I would ever need to get the cart up past the mid-20s so not sure if I would take advantage of the future-proofing of the controller upgrade.

Plain and simple. A sepex cart will always get the best bang for its bucks by a controller upgrade. You will see the speed you want and a torque increase.

Spend your money on an Alltrax Controller. Bandit Motor is the bottom of the line. If you want a motor get a top of the line PQ motor. But for flat paved road all you will need is the Alltrax, Curtis is the bottleneck for speed.
