Default Tie Rod upgrade (I think)

So after breaking these things a couple of time - what is the best way to upgrade the steering on my golf cart. 96 or 97 EZGO TXT. I'm not mechanical, strike one BUT I like to tinker...any help would be appreciated. I have circled the part that I keep breaking.

Got a picture of a broken one? Curious as to where it is breaking.

Thanks. I see a big problem with the design in that it is putting a LOT of twisting force on the part. The other problem is a pi$$ poor choice of steel. Steering [and other safety related parts] should be made of steel that doesn't just break like that without twisting or otherwise deforming first. If you are not equipped enough yourself, I would suggest taking it to a competent welder. He or she should have a fairly easy solution using better steel and also reinforcing it underneath.

replace the OEM spindles with ones for an ST350 model and do away with those extensions. That will almost certainly solve your problem.

I dont know if he still has them but Stovebolt had a pair for sale recently.

If you manage to break these, you are running your cart way too hard LOL.

Thanks for the help. @Dundee, I completely agree. My cart has a Jakes lift on it but I am guessing the part that keeps breaking is original to EZGO? @Cartmaster, thanks for the suggestion I messaged Stovebolt and am hoping he still has them. Will keep y'all updated.
