Find out your motor model number and call Alltrax and get the correct field map for your combination.

I figured it couldn't hurt, my EZGO cart has a heat sink that the controller is mounted to, but I don't see that Club Car has one. I could not get it to do it again so not sure how hot it gets or if that was the problem, but figured it would help keep it a bit cooler. Being in AZ it was hot outside the day it happened and we were driving slow in a parade?

If it is a programmable controller you can hook it up to a computer and it will tell you what the problem is
