Default Why are my batteries all of a sudden leaking?

I'm very careful not to overfill them and use a funnel to do so. All of them have some degree of leakage. What gives?

How full are you filling them? Should only cover plates by 1/4" to a max of 1/2" barring this as batteries age they tend to start gassing a bit more than newer battery do during the charging process...

Probably about 3/4" above the plates. Maybe a bit more but about a 1/4" below the plastic tube. The batteries are early 2014's

Filled to high.... if they are like car battery there is a fill height ring inside to allow for expansion when on charge. Might want to take a little out if they are high.... otherwise if not too high then maybe getting overcharged??? Check output

heavy use could cause bubbling when charging, causing water to be expelled out vent tops of all the batteries

Ok. So with all this in mind should I take all batts out and wash them off? I do use my cart pretty heavily at times so this could definitely be the problem.

wash off with baking soda and water ( baking soda neutralizes the acid )

Make sure that you only refill after a full charge cycle. Never refill before charging. The level goes up a lot during charging. Looks like they were slightly over filled. Clean them off good and they will be fine.
