G1 short to ground wont start
My G1 zaps me when I touch the motor even with the coil leads unplugged . I have replaced the generator it was faulty I checked for exposed wires no luck. noticed the ground wire was arcing at the solenoids and tightened it up but still getting zapped . it sometimes fires and then floods out and dumps fuel out the exhaust. Any ideas ? My kids are going to be bumming if its not running for our first trip up to camp this year
thanks |

Re: G1 short to ground wont start
So I think I found my problem . I disconnected the magneto and it stopped zapping me . I realized the ground wire to it was gone. I pulled the magneto and replaced the ground wire and put heat shrink on the wires . going to put it back together soon . lets see what happens
