Portable Blue Tooth Speaker Idea's ?
I've mounted several marine radios which were paired up via Bluetooth for Pandora, LED speakers, amps etc in my last few carts.
I have a Drive2 now, and I'm thinking of instead of buying a deep cycle marine battery to run the accessories, just getting a portable blue tooth speaker for listening to music. I was thinking of the better one's for around $200, and mounting it on the bottom front of the top above the windshield. From what I been reading , these things have 10 -20 hours of run time off 1 charge. Or, My other options is: Buy a Deep Cycle battery, and spend around $500 for a over head console ? Cost of the battery, wiring, switches, fuse block, radio console, marine radio, and speakers is well over $500 I was thinking of adding a small 12" LED light bar on the front bumper., and some accent lighting under the carriage as well. If I do got the Deep Cycle marine battery route for the accessories , can I remove the headlights, tail lights etc, everything that runs off the 48V to 12V converter and add them onto the accessory battery so their not running off the main pack? Idea's? We don't need anything loud, were close to 50 years old, ride around with our 2 little dogs in the cart, and don't need to add sub woofers etc at this time in our life's :) |

For Bluetooth, you could get a
g project g boom. I have one and it sounds great. Less than a $100. Then run your accessory lights to your existing voltage reducer. That's a simple, inexpensive answer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Install a USB port charger off of a reducer. That way if you ever need to recharge your Bluetooth speaker or your phone/other device you can. You can get very nice Bluetooth speakers under $100.
Also, 50 ain't old......Crank it up! |

Re: Portable Blue Tooth Speaker Idea's ?
I have found this Altec Lansing BT speaker to be great for the golf cart. Pic showing it mounted on a special made bracket for the Yamaha Drive. The nice thing about this speaker is that it has a 1/4-20 mounting hole. I use a thumb screw for easy mounting. In the picture you can see the USB charge cable to the USB outlet. After the pic was taken, I was able to reroute the cable down the back of the bracket and thru the edge of the ball holder to hide the cable.

Where is the reducer on the Drive2 ? And which wires would I tap into coming off of it so I know I'm getting 12v and not 48v ? |

Re: Portable Blue Tooth Speaker Idea's ?
I've had this speaker for a little over a year and it has been awesome!
20hr run time, can run while charging using a usb cable, waterproof and awesome base. Also, it has a usb port on the back so that you can use it to charge your phone or other batter operated devices using it as a battery pack if needed. Hence the name Charge. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F24RIZ8...ing=UTF8&psc=1 |

I'm using a JBL unit also.
Pros: The sound is great for it's size. I can easily put it in the office, shop, or any one of the many golf carts Cons: It is pain when the phone rings and forget trying to voice to text with the BT lag. |

Might not work for you but I Velcro mine under the dash so I can use it elsewhere.

I can't find a mount to mount them though That's the only thing holding me back, is trying to figure out how to mount it |
