As for the one I listed. I just sit it on the dash without a problem.

Or, you could use one of these and hang it or secure it somehow.

The kenwood bluetooth digital amp is awesome- hardly draws any power but gives you a blutooth connection, wired remote, and 4 channels. It's so small it can be mounted anywhere. I love my portables as well (I have 2 JBL Xtremes and 3 JBL Charge 2 pluses) but you can't beat the convenience of wired systems, especially when they have come down in price so much. My buddy and I just wired in one with hidden speakers everywhere. Sounds amazing and done on a budget.

Here it is... it is very compact and impressive. Has a wired remote that fits into most ball holders. Controls track, play/pause, and volume. You will, of course, need speakers but this little thing can put out a surprising amount of power.

That is VERY INTERESTING ! Thank you for sharing this !

All thought I was thinking of going strictly portable, I ran into issues like what do I do with the portable unit when I take the golf cart to Walmart for shopping, dinner, etc, and mounting them.

This Blue Tooth amp, still needs speakers and a separate deep cycle battery, but I save on the stereo console to mount to the roof, which I don't like at all, and buying a stereo for the console.

If I went this direction, Figure $180 for the AMP, $80 bucks for the deep cycle battery, and 2 speakers @ $75.00. Plus this will be very easy to install.

I was back in Walmart and Target today, playing all the different BT Portable speakers, glad I didn't pull the trigger just yet!

Now I how to figure if I go this route, where I'd want to mount the speakers.

I looked up wakeboard, ATV Speakers , and looks like they can mount right to the back roof pointing forward

Wakeboard speakers are a great way to go because of the enclosure, mounting, and water resistance. I like options like these because they are less expensive and sound pretty good, but I personally would sand, clean, and paint them the color of my choice. They look a little 80's.

I can attest to the KW amp. Per Furyous's suggestion I bought one and it's impressive. He helped me achieve the seemingly impossible total stealth stereo install which has completely exceeded my expectations. I'll do a full write up once it's 100% done. Turns out that it is way louder and cleaner sounding than anticipated so Furyous is helping me come up with a stealth sub solution.

Here is the amp under the seat. It's about the size of a VHS tape

Very clean set up, Love the Onward Looks also, I all most bought one before buying the Drive2. What speakers are you going with, and where do you plan on mounting them?

I was thinking of these, however it may interfere with someone sitting on the rear seat, as I planned on mounting them on the roof at the rear pointing forward

6-1/2" LED Marine Speakers for behind the seat between the 2 seats , I've had these in the past and loved them :

Marine fuse block with cover/ NEG :

Also ordered 100' of red/black 16G primary wire, and some other stuff.
I have to order the AMP now and I'm thinking of a Head unit like this:
