Default Pics of batteries and controller.

Their was a discussion a week or so ago that wanted me post pictures of my batteries and controller in another post. Before I bought it from a member of the family, we were driving it home with lights on and low batteries it blew a 3amp fuse. And that fuse took out all the power. The issue of blowing fuses never happened again. Now my only issue is driving with the lights on, will cutt off and on. I do not believe my batteries are that low.
Any thoughts or ideas would be great.

Disassemble headlamps and look for problems in the housing.

Your cables need replacing.
Lots of corrosion at the crimped ends. See red arrows.
Crimped ends with that much corrosion are not really repairable.
The corrosion works it way up in the cable quite far.
You are probably getting a low voltage condition and bad contact at the crimps.
Upgrade to a least 4awg for the set including cables to the motor.

Don't use automotive battery cables; they need to be a fine wire high strand count for best results.

If you want some really nice ones, see the site sponsors links.
Scottyb at Carts Unlimited has very nice sets.
