Default G29 light need more power?

I bought this G29 last year with the light kit already installed. It worked well (a little too well with 2 8v running it). I bought a small tractor 12v to run auxiliary and can’t get the lights to go?? If I give it the added boost of a simple trickle charger they are one, but without it can’t even get the halogen going. What gives? Are there light kits that are for over 12v? The link below appears to be the kit, and I’m pulling 13.7v on my tractor battery. So frustrated. Thanks!!

They should work fine using the tractor battery. Swap the wires around at the battery.

LED lights will not work with the hot wire and negative reversed. Remember that the D is for diode which is directional for the current to pass through.

Pretty easy to make the polarity problem disappear. And many led products have something similar on the input to protect.
