Well, the pigtail test went perfectly. Charger did not give the 6 flashing LED error. Charged fine and no more hot wires. Guess I will pop a hole in the case and make it permanent. Thanks so much for all the help!!

After 08/01/2013, they changed the charger and accessory harness to seperate those 2 wires to a different connector. Here are the wiring diagrams...
