In post#5 you said you had pack voltage between B- and M- when solenoid clicked and then in post#7 you said it runs wide open when solenoid clicks.

Those two statements are totally opposite conditions, so what changed between those two posts?

with new controller installed cart would not run. b- to m- showed pack voltage. I then placed original controller back in cart and it reads 10 to 11 (m- to B-) volts when solenoid clicks and cart is wide open.

Okay, that explains it.

The original 1205 controller either has some shorted MOSFETs (the devices that control how much power is forwarded to motor) or it is getting a throttle signal in the 2/3 range (at 100% throttle, the voltage between B- and M- will be 0V or very close to it --- typically about 0.8V/100A)

As for the new 1205 controller. Do all of the model/part numbers match the old controller?
A 1205 controller is factory programmed for different type throttles and you may have one that is programmed for something other than the EZGO ITS throttle.

they did but as happens some times, the new controller was bad also. original controller failed also. Johnnie B, thanks for your help.
