Aftermarket Steering Wheels
Wanting to put on a aftermarket steering wheel. Time to get rid of that old ugly wheel. I have been looking on E Bay for a wheel and adaptor it looks like the cheapest is around $75.00 shipped. Any place else or any other idea's on where to get a wheel & adaptor? What did yours cost?

Re: Aftermarket Steering Wheels
I got a Grant adapter and steering wheel at Autozone. I got the basic 3-spoke chrome wheel with the black rubber rim for around $25, and the adapter was around $30.
Have you checked any of the site sponsors? There are probably deals to be found there. Good luck! |

Re: Aftermarket Steering Wheels
Don't buy a new steering wheel until you remove the old one first. Some of them seem to be "welded" on, if ya know what I mean....

Re: Aftermarket Steering Wheels
I caused myself to suffer a hernia while pulling of my CC steering wheel. The ******* who torqued the sucker down needs a smack in the mouth. Bloody sadist !!

Re: Aftermarket Steering Wheels
I tore down a friend of mines g19 for paint and maintanance. The guy who did it before me, over torqued every bolt on the car. Many stretched bolts I had to replace, and yes the nut on the steering wheel was one of them. He even had 1/2"x20's on the lugs holding the wheels on. Some people just shouldn't have tools!
OK, rant over, The car turned out pretty good. I'll get the pictures posted soon |
