If you still have the stock hose from the air cleaner on your car, you have one.

Bug, I thought you had a g8? I don't know what a 16 looks like. Never seen under the seat.
But I do believe they have the plastic housing like you said.

Don't know about a "velocity stack", but I did try the Jake's Zembro muffler/K & N filter and carb jet kit. I didn't like how the filter hit the gas tank, so I modified the original air box downtube, so the air filter was vertical. Ended takeing the kit off the car. The muffler had a "loud lawnmower" sound and I personally didn't like the "throaty" noise the air filter made. But here's a couple pic's.

Bug, the ones on my sand rail don't. They are the same size as the top of the venturi on the carb. I'm probably wrong, but I think they just start a ram air effect over the top of the carb. to straighten out the air flow entering the carb. I think the taller they are, the higher the RPM range they are effective at. Kinda like Hillborn's.

If you've ever seen an engine running on a dyno. its neat to see the fuel vapor over the top on each one. Worth seeing!!!

Flattoppro, will know about them!

Smallblock. Do you have the part number for that air filter. Trying to find one like that for a G9
