Re: No fire at coil
Well I checked the connections, and they all seem to be ok. I was a little concerned about 1 of the harnesses, it had 3 wires going in and out. Is this what you respliced and put new butt connectors on? Also, where does the other end of that harness go? It went behind a plastic sheild and I couldnt see back there, could it be bad back there, does that happen alot? The guy that gave it to me said that it started giving trouble and he had to hold the gas for a long time before it would start and then it just quit firing at all, so he replaced the solenoid, and coil with no luck, it just spins and spins

Re: No fire at coil
I don't know where it goes, I don't even know what color it is. A wild guess is it goes to the negative side of the solenoid, even tho there isn't a neg. side to the sol. But not at all sure, I'd have to go look. I will look tomorrow morn. on my G8.

Re: No fire at coil
Does the ignitor have a fuse? I was looking at some wiring diagrams and it looks like there is a 10amp fuse somewhere. I want to check it for corrosion. Can someone please tell me where it is located. Thanks

Re: No fire at coil
The original golf cart sys. has one 10 amp fuse. It is in the negative side of the system. Don't know what model cart you have, so can't help you on its location.

Re: No fire at coil
No, I actually have not tried anymore. It is so hot in my barn when I get off, I have been trying to catch my breath. See my avatar? That has been using alot of my time!!! But thats a good thing! I found a Yamaha graveyard about 35miles from my house though. I am gonna take it there while on my trailer, and see if I can try a used one...or two. I will repost. Is yours a 4-stroke?
