This 48v shuttle works in my shipping dept. Equipped with a 500a control, 10.5 hp hi-torque motor, merchandise coming in and out of the shop ride on this cart. I had to bring 4 tires when I rescued it from a cow pasture. It had no electronics, bed, or roof but, luckily the seat had been flipped up and was still good. I love this goofy thing.

This past summer I had to hand dig a little drainage ditch because my front yard flooded and the water was flowing over the driveway, carrying gravel with it. Raging waters. Anyway, I hauled all 800,000 lbs of sod pieces to the back yard with the golf cart. No issues. If I had to guess, a full load of sod was at least 500 lbs. It was crazy. And yes, I dug all that by hand. And yes, I loaded all that by hand....alone.....great for the forarms!

800,000 pounds of sod is a significant number. If it was rolled sod, it would cover over 6 acres. Are you sure about that number?

Oh, I'm sure he's sure!! I've hauled fire wood, cabinets as well as pulled dead golf carts and shop tools, helping a friend of mine, move his shop in the past. Just no pictures of that stuff!!

Hold on a minute here... Do you realize the amount of time it would take to move that amount of weight?

If each load was 500 pounds, and it took 10 minutes to dig up, transport, dump, and return to the job-site, it would take over 11 days of constant effort. That includes no breaks and no sleeping. Non-stop work.

Ok Don. Now we all know you can use a calculator! Lol

Soooo, maybe I exaggerated the total weight by 20-30%.
