Default G9 Rear springs

On our first weekend at the campground we discovered a new issue.

with 2 adults on the rear seat the bumper will drag on the ground going over the speed bumps. the rear shocks are pretty worn out.

I've been looking but haven't found a thread to answer my question.

Can you put the Heavy duty springs on the G9 shocks?

If so where can I find some? I've found replacement springs for G14 and up, but only found replacement shocks for the G9.

anyone out there have any experience with this on the G9?

Thanks

I have a 1990 G8 and the rear shocks are basically the same as the G9. The HD rear springs fit fine the only modification that I had to do was grind the edges of the shock eye so that the spring would slide over the top of the shock. Look at the photo.

thanks for the info and photos. I did some more searching and found a couple threads on this subject. One of which is using some coil springs from McMaster Carr which is a lot less than the cart specific ones..

Now I have to find some time to get this done.
