Clearance Tail Light Wiring Question
Clearance Tail Light Wiring Question
Our campground requires headlights and one tail light for my 1995 club car ds which has neither. I wired a cheap set of lights on the front (Harbor Freight) without any problem. The clearance type tail lights I bought our self grounded to the frame. How do I tie them in so they switch on and off with the headlights? They work by just running the to the battery but that does not help. This DIY stuff is fun, but not without some help. PS, my new muffler goes in on Monday night. Thanks! |

Re: Clearance Tail Light Wiring Question
All you would have to do is run a wire from your tail light to the switch. Connect it to the same wire as the headlights and both will come on.
If you plan on adding lights that draw a lot of current I recommend using a relay but that's a little more advanced. Make sure that there is a good ground from the light to the frame or you will have issues in the future. Good luck with your DIY project and I hope I helped a little |
