Re: Powerdrive charger 2 on another brand cart
Thanks Sergio. One last question...do they make an adapter plug from 3 pin round to 2 pin crowfoot?

Re: Powerdrive charger 2 on another brand cart
I have never seen an adapter from 3-pin round to 2-pin crowfoot, but if you get a regular cord with the 2-pin crowfoot connector, just wire the PowerDrive 2 blue "sense" wire that was on the 3rd pin with the black negative output wire.
That will allow the charger to come on/off as you plug it to the cart or use a charger controller to disable the charging. Using one of those charger controllers is better for temporary use but not good for the batteries in the long run as they need the slow absorption (lower current) phase to fully charge. If You are going to charge by manually plugging it to the cart, make sure you plug to cart first and then to the AC power. When disconnecting remove AC power first then unplug from the cart. That minimizes current arc damage to the charger plug and receptacle and ensures no sparks around the freshly charged/gassed batteries. |
