36v ezgo power wise charger pulsating on and off

I drove my cart today and when I got back and placed it on the charger and it just cut on and off. I thought the batteries might be hot so I left it for 2 hours and tried again. Still won't charge. What could be wrong?

Could be the control board in the charger or the battery sense circuit in the charger plug/jack at the cart, and some other things.

Clean the auxiliary contact in the D plug and the outside of the negative radsok in the carts charger port, that is where the charger's control board sense the voltage of the cart's battery pack. (Contact area circled in attached picture showing engaged plug in jack with top covers removed.)

Also try bypassing the relay on the control board so the charger turns on when AC power cord is plugged in. If the ammeter still flickers, the problem is inside the charger.

If Ammeter is stable, you can charger the cart's battery pack this way, let it charge for 8 to 10 hours before unplugging.

I think the OP says the charger comes on, goes off, comes on, goes off. Not the ammeter flicking back and forth like an unstable PowerDrive 3 does!

The control board in a Powerwise 28115 shown in the video turns the charger on and off. If the battery voltage being sensed by the control board is erratic, the charger will turn on and off as shown in the video.
