Default Upgrade to 48 Volt

Question regarding an upgrade.... I have a 1995 G14 36 volt in which I'm going to upgrade to 48 volt. Besides upgrading the controller and solenoids will the stop switch and throttle sensor have to be replaced too, or will they work with the 48 volt system?

Also looking for an opinion on Plum Quick motors, are they really worth the extra money? Or does it come down to, you get what you pay for.....

Thanks

G14 should have the 0-1k throttle so should be fine.

Plum quick is a good source for motors as well as rebuilding one you have unless it is the hitachi..

Thanks for your response. The original motor is a GE, I was told it is a light duty motor and would not be worth rebuilding. I was also looking at the D&D Motors which are a couple hundred less, but not sure if they would have the performance level I'm looking for. Trying to stay with the "Made in the USA" motors.....

I have two carts with D&D motors in them - one is 4 years old - the other is new. I have no issues with them. Seem well built - much better then the stock Hitachi motors that were in both of my carts. Both died.

That's good to know, just want to make an informed decision. I'm doing a ground up rebuild on this cart with a 6" lift and 22" tires, want to make sure the motor is up to the task.
