What electrical wires or connectors are under the cup holder on a 2015 RXV?
I'm new to electric carts and do not want to mess anything up. I'm thinking about adding a 12v power outlet in the center console/cup holder on our 2015 RXV 48v cart. Just for cell phone charging and maybe a Garmin GPS, nothing high draw. Can I safely remove the cup holder without messing anything up? Is there a source for 12v under there? Our cart has lights and a horn, so I think there might be 12v source in the dash? I want to proceed with caution and not mess up any of the RXV electronics, hence the newbie question. THANKS!

Not recommend at all. To many people had to buy a new controller doing what your thinking.

Looks like a Freedom model, and when equiped with a voltage reducer, why not?
( The Freedom RXV were equiped with a DC/DC converter...! ) |

Re: What electrical wires or connectors are under the cup holder on a 2015 RXV?
I know just two things about RXVs.
The first is how to spell it. RXV. The second thing I know is do not touch (read: mess with) the electrical harness of an RXV. If you want 12vdc, connect a 48-to-12v voltage reducer directly to the pos&neg of the battery pack. Use the resulting 12v for your cell phone charger or Garmin, etc. Run your own wires from the reducer to the socket you want to install. Okay, maybe I know 3 things... |

Not a bad idea, did the same with a Tomberlin cart some times ago. Hook up a second reducer direct to the batteries ( cheap 10amp model ) and connect to the 12v outlet / usb port. Easy install, and you don't have to touch the oem wiring.
