RXV not moving.
My 2016 RXV won't go anywhere. If I put into R it will lurch forward, then start beeping. If I put into tow it will roll, other than that it wont move at all. We replaced the motor break without success. What gives? Any ideas?

Re: RXV not moving.
The cart I was just working on did this same thing and it came in for batteries...turned out the customer left the manual motor lock lever on the release position, Every time I would switch from run/tow cart and turn switch the cart would lurch forward and immediately start beeping non stop until put to tow again...May not be your problem, however exact same symptom so thought I'd chime in...all I had to do was push the lever down and and it clicked and works fine now

16 won’t have one but your problem does sound brake related. With the cart in run and the switch off can you move the cart?

Re: RXV not moving.
Not sure of what year the one I was working on unfortunately just know it was an RXV...I'm a Yamaha dealer so don't mess with them much I was scratching my head and came across it by accident honestly...It was basically a lever sticking up out of the back of the motor cap with a spring on it...It was sticking up and I pushed it down to see what would happen and it just Clicked into place...Cart worked fine afterword...

Re: RXV not moving.
I know how easy it is to mess up the brake install first hand. Also aftermarket brakes and heavy duty brakes can be problematic if they work at all. You can check the ohms on the brake, should be 25-28 if good. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Good luck.

To answer KGSC, it will only move in tow.
