Default Intellibrake locking up

Replaced brake with new one due to the old one getting super hot and kinda melting per say. Installed new brake and now locking up again. Straight wired the plug under the cup holder to avoid a bad connection there. When key is turned on I do hear the break check but when u drive it feels like the break is applied it then gets hot and stops the cart. Should I be reading a certain voltage at the break plug connection?

In my experience the keys to making the motor brake last are buying an OEM brake and the way it is installed. The bolts need to be in good condition also. The brake must be released when you tighten the bolts. I put the cart in neutral and flip the tow switch a few times. Then leave the tow switch in tow and make sure the brake is released. Tighten the bolts evenly to no more than 50 in/lbs. If you don't have a torque wrench, be sure you don't over tighten. They only need to be tightened slightly past having the lock washers compressed.

Thanks for the info I’m going to remove the break and reinstall, I was curious if the break is getting reduced voltage will it cause it to try and engage and if so where would the reduced voltage come from.
