Default Identify My Cart

I have not bought it yet but was trying to find out as much as I could to know what I was getting into. I was told it was a 91 model and has gxt-800 on the back. It is the diamond metal body the owner said it was a 250 cc moter. He said John Deere and Ez Go got together and made these models. The only problem I was told about so far was the starter had a bad connection (ground side I think) and had be clamped to the housing to work.

Any advice would help a lot. I plan to make a trip to look it over this week end.

Thanks
Ed

"He said John Deere and Ez Go got together and made these models"
It's his story, he can tell it like he wants to.

it's a 2 stroke cart with the 244cc robin engine (cheap to rebuild)
basically a marathon cart with diamond plate sheat metal and a bed. I have a 4 stroke gxt 804, (about the same cart)

edited***** i'm not sure that cart in the pic is a 91,

That helps I have been searching the web to find out what it is and had very little luck. Is it worth buying for under $1000?

OK sounds good to me. I plan to go and check it out ths week end I will let you know if I get it. I am sure I will need help if I do.

I have heard a lot about gas vs battery and which is better - any suggestions?

My main use will be around my home (about 6.5 acres) as a workhorse. That is why I liked the back to haul stuff in.

you'd be so much better off to get a newer 4 stroke cart than the old 2 strokes. even if you spend a little more. I wouldn't even consider an electric for hauling stuff unless it was a 48v workhorse, I don't like electric carts much because all the down time charging you have with them

Thanks for you help and suggestions. I will think about it before I decide. I would love to have a newer one but money is very tight right now and so I am shopping for the best buy for my money.

Thanks Again
