Default What can do this?

What can cause this to the driven clutch. I can rotate the inner sheave to the correct position but it will sooner or later it will go back to this. I have the CPP torque kit installed and it ran fine for months? Any ideas?

They are there and fine look at the pic again.. The sheave is on the wrong side of the helix.

The snap ring behind the driven helix is broken, missing or just shifted towards the transaxle. This allows the ramps to over-run and then the secondary doesn't work right.

Correct me if I am wrong but as I understand it the outer sheave is fixed with the key the inner one is free to rotate until it hits the helix and the helix is fixed on the splines of the shaft.

There is no snap ring it has the spacer. It the does not over run as far as i can tell.

The cart runs fine except the driven clutch only opens half way so I am in "low" gear. When I rotate the sheave around it normally works fine for a while.

It looks like you're running a G16 or later transaxle. The spacer is only effective on the G2/G9 carts due to the splines stopping a little further away from the input housing. In effect, the spacer has slipped too far onto the splined shaft. I am not aware of a G16 specific spacer, but I could be wrong.

I have to agree with flint....The nut must not be tightened all the way, did you use an impact? Don't worry, the spacers work on all Yamaha models, Except for (The Drive).
