Default Funny story leading into my assistance request..

Hello gang,

So my family and I are in charge of maintaining our sub-divisions entrance. We were cleaning up for the last time before the snow fell and were jsut wrapping things up to head home. The cart has a wagon attatched to it full of debris and tools. My wife begins to place a few items on the floorboard, the 100' extension cord happens to land on the go pedal. The cart takes off across the road and into the cemetary and perchs itself atop the first tombstone it finds. The impact crumpled the brake and accelarator assembly (go pedal was smashed in the go position. With the thing high centered you would think the tires would be spinning but something else has happened but no physical evidence is there. All electrical components were untouched.

The Brake/acc assembly has been repaired and is fully functional again, the rod that attatches from the Accelerator to the electric throttle control arm was not damaged either.

My question is..

Where do I begin, after repairing the magled metal I cleaned and replaced all cables and terminals. The charging system is working fine and the batts are fully charged, simply not getting any power to the unit.

any suggestions would be great...

Thanks in advance.

After all morning searching for tips and hints, the simplest thing to check for is the solenoid which is likely as old as the car. my question is if the solenoid is bad then likely nothin will show life. No accessories on this thing, all it has is a reverse alarm that should activate when flipped to reverse with the key on. This is not happening now. In reverse key on... silence..

opinions?

I can't help you out at all, sorry.

Is there a switch on the go pedal that is damaged?

Could be tough to find an answer, not to many people aroung here have that kind of a cart.

Good luck

I checked as well for an electrical connection to the go pedal but it is all mechanical.... I'll try to get some pics so as to better understand it. A screwy deal I know. We use it at the drag strip to pull the dragster back from the big end and to get around in the pits. Was hoping it would last at least a few seasons before something like this happened. I suppose I can just grab the testing lights and work my way back.

Very possible, I'll be taking it apart piece by piece until I find something that is'nt right.. I realize this is a ******* unit but the kids race car has drained the well.

Did a little poking and prodding on the cart last night.. Reminds me of an old ford.. Arc'd the terminals on the solenoid and bam.. we have power. New question.. How do I know which solenoid will work as I am certain nobody makes the Hyundai specific part. I see some that look the part but the descriptions next to the part # indicate for specific year CC or Yamaha etc..

Any ideas?
