Question 1989 ez go need some help plz

Hello, I am very dumb founded with some problems with my ezgo. Have read lots of threads on here and just dont know what to check next. I have 120lbs of pressure, good spark as it shot up my arm, check fuel pump and it is pumping fuel, took carb off to make sure everything was working and cleaned it. I have also check to make sure there is no leaking near the seals but know I am stuck. These 2 cycles are very picky and its driving me nuts as I would like to use it this weekend at the campground. Now what the problem is. Once cart is running it runs fine. Problem is when u stop, then go to go again it wont restart. Let it sit a few minutes and it goes again till u stop.
Someone please tell me what to do next. Thanks for ur time and letting me post on this forum.

If you are sure you have good spark upon restart I would look at fuel related issues.
Once it sits and you try to restart spin it over just a couple of rotations and pull the plug.
You are looking to see if it is wet or dry.
Wet means it is either not getting spark or that fuel is seeping past the needle and seat and settling in the lower crankcase so when you go to restart it "wet" fouls or shorts the plug like a flooded condition until it drys.
How long does it have to sit before it will restart?
Does it help or hinder when you try to choke on restart?
When it does restart, is there a large amount of smoke?
When it is running does it smell rich?
What does the actual plug look like, color, carbon build up, tried new plug?

Well it has a new plug. I check it and it is dry. Sitting time can be just a few minutes. Some times I try to choke it and it acts like its gonna run then it doesnt. Yes when it does run it does put off a puff of smoke and u can smell gas. Also after cleaning carb when it would run it seem like i was lacking the power I had prior to cleaning it. Thanks for trying to help me on this.

A sticking float can cause what your describing, I would start be pulling the carb back apart.

Ok it keeps fouling out the plug. After a few turns and it doesnt fire or start i removed the plug and it is wet. Now what should I look at to fix the problem.

Could be a stuck open float or a leaking gasket. If you smell gas when it is shut off, look and see if it is wet around the carb. If so you might as well get a gasket set and replace them all. I'm not too familiar with the style of carb, but your problem is very familiar to us old 2 stroke dirt bike junkies!
