Default cart accelerates too slow

just bought a 90 marathon a week ago ...but starting today, you have to hold the pedal to the floor for about 10-15 seconds or more before it revs up and starts to move. i checked plug, fuel filter, replaced some of the old rubber fuel line, removed and cleaned out gas tank and still nothing. im afraid it is getting too much air from somewhere, or i have carb trouble. any suggestions? thanks

choke seems to work...takes a lot of choking though. replaced carb today, that didnt help...then replaced the drive belt. still very slow to start moving. checked compression. 70 pounds. is that enough or do i need rings?

I don't know when they started putting four strokes in'em, so I'm not sure what engine you have.. Some of these other pro's probably know exactly what engine ya got but I can't remember when the four stroke showed up on these..

70 lbs is poor. Re-ring or re-bore are good options to bring your motor to within specifications.
