Default 1989 ExHAUST PIPE???

Since I have had the engine top end redune the exhaust pipe from the muffler is missing.

I have a piece of pipe the correct size. Is there any problem extending the exhaust pipe down and to the bottom of the cart???

Where was the original routed???
