Default G1 stereo install

I got my stereo installed in my G1. I made a box for the stereo and speakers under the roof. I have $0.00 invested in the box which fits the budget just right. I used a Jensen marine stereo combo. I think a custom windshield is the next addition.....when will it ever end LOL

I didn't take any pics while I was making it but it only took me about a half hour to construct. I cut out a top and bottom out of 1/4" ply. I ripped some 3/8" ply at 3 1/2" for the sides, back and flats parts on the front. I ripped some 1/4" ply for the radius and kerf cut them on the back side so i could bend them. I stapled it all together with 1/4" crown stapler (glued as well) and then I just sprayed it with 3M adhesive and applied the carpet. The box is super light but very strong.

Wow! Looks great man! I personally like the speakers at head level, as you can actually hear the stereo over the cart noise!
What's the box made from? How did you make it for "Free"? Is it heavy on the top up there?

Good job!

Where is the subwoofer? Just kidding really cool box you made! I don't run a roof due to so many trees here, but still thinking of some sound.

Looks good Dakota, I like the look of that! An alternative to the carpet might be to fiber glass resin it, then paint it.
