Default Re: Camber, shocks, king pin problem

just my opinioin but if you want to get rid of your camber problems on a yamaha put dual a-arm kit on it. I have had both style kits (all sports and jakes) and the dual a-arm kit handles better in the bumps and completely eliminated the camber problems that I had. I abuse the crap out of my all sports lift and it is holding up well. by the way with the single a-arm set up make sure you drive forward a few feet after you lift the cart up and let the shocks extend. the shocks will settle down to ride height after a few feet.

Single arm is never perfect, that is the way they are. The weight on the cart changes it. But if its off all the time, sure just move a shock mount up/down to correct it. Did you measure the height of the spindles to the arm? But yes I'd mod that arm shock mount to fix it for now. I don't know if the arms are that bad of a lift really, long as they are welded well enough. Its nearly a copy of a jakes G1 lift. The tie rods look kind of messy though, and the open end of the arm could have been fixed up.

A few degrees of positive camber is a good thing. All cars have positive camber, except some race cars. Get over the idea that the wheels have to be straight up. They don't.

I thing I added enough positive camber to the wheels, do you think I need to add more. I am at work and do not have the pictures here but it is the same as in post #15. When I sit in the cart it still had a little positive camber.
