Leman I suppose you may be in trouble unless you can find some one that has replaced theirs and has a parts carb and willing to sell. That is suppose to be a needle screw with a small locking nut. The adjustment would be to lightly seat it then back off two turns and lock the nut. That's a starting point and you may have to adjust it in/out 1/4 turn for your satisfaction. You may want to post a WTB in the parts forums.

Good Luck LOU

Thanks for the info Lou. What is a WTB mean.

I kinda figured as much when I saw that. That needle screw must have a number on it. If I can get that number I maybe able to track one down possibly.

Thanks

Want To Buy "WTB" BV18 carb low speed needle. After thinking it may be a goose chase but you may be able to find something from other small engines that will fit and do the job as long as its pointed and will screw in as long as the person you got it from didn't use the the wrong thread screw and missed it up. K If you could find one you could use a spring to hold the adjustment or lock nut. Just my thinking.

Well after some searching A full kit can be purchased but the cost is almost 3/4 of what a new carb can be purchased for so if your lucky and find a screw ok but you may just as well go the new route at the cost of about $100.00 Sorry

Thanks Lou for the information..i appreciate all the help i can get..

Ya i think ill look for a air screw off another another engine that uses same style carb..i know on the snowmobile air screws there's a number on them..with the number i might have a better chance of finding one..does somebody know the number or size for the air screw that's suppose to be in it.
