Default 1978 ez-go gas cart

hi everyone i am new to golfcarts have an 1978 ez go gasser and have an question how do u know if the drive clutch is bad or needs to be replaced my problem is that it starts up runs for 20 ft. and stops running dont know if it is drive clutch or fuel problem any help would be greatly appreciated thank and have a good day.

Stop running is not a clutch problem if it takes off then just dies!! Look at lack of fuel. Fuel filter?

Check the fuel lines for cracks replace the fuel filter and you may want to clean the carb.Also look at the tank cap make sure the vent hole isn't plugged.

one more question how can u tell if the fuel pump is working and is good thanks so very much racin 161 for your advice it will really help.

pull the line off at the carb and crank it. Be sure to put it on jack stands first or remove the drive belt before cranking as it WILL take off at the wrong momentU should see a constant pulse of gas as its cranking.
