G1 float level setting
I have a G1 Yamaha golf cart. When I received the cart the air screw was screwed all the way in and the float was not closing the needle. I need to know what level to set the float at. It did run but running at slow speed sometimes it would not accelerate. This cart is used to haul a handicapped person around swap meets etc. so it needs to run at slow speeds.

Re: G1 float level setting
I agree with Yamarancher, just make shure the needle is "seated" when the float is level with the carb body to stop fuel flow, at least the metal "tang" on the float can be bent slightly for adjustment. Also (depending on the year of G1) there can be an exhaust valve and linkage that stay's partially closed at low speeds and helps with tourque and driveablity.
