How much $ to paint cart ?
I have a 2005, G-22 Yamaha..... Wondering what it will cost me to get it painted this winter ? I don't know anything about painting, but I can get the front and rear body skins off it, to send to auto body shop..... I just want one color, base coat / clear coat, but I'm looking to get 4 or 5 coats put on to really make it pop..... any ideas what I'm looking at for cost ? I know every bodyshop will be different to a point, but I'm just looking for a ballpark figure..... Can I get it done for under $500 ?
By the way, body skins are in really good shape..... I believe all they will have to do is, sand them down, and paint.... |

I got mine done with a small amount of body work for $350.00 its not show quality either but its a limo also, extra body piece. Hope this gives you some idea.

It sure does Lurch, thanks...... I was hoping it would be closer to $300 than $500.... just trying to get an idea of how much money to be setting aside for paint this winter.

Just did that green one, paint was close to 300. But you can easily spend more!

Did you do the actual painting, or did you hire someone to paint it ? So the $300 was just for supplies ?

When I had my Ez-go done, the guy showed me the "stock colors" he had on hand and I picked one. He charged me $275.00 and I think it looks great.
When I did the Yami I picked the House Of Kolor Kandy kobalt blue and the paint was $510.00 alone. Then I gave the guy another couple hundred for painting it....... I would think you could find a local body shop that would be able to paint it for $300.00 if you choose a resonable color/paint. |

I had one painted at a body shop in Gulfport, Mississippi in 2011. They did a great job for $350.00.
