Try a battery-voltage test first. If the Starter/Generator isn't working, the battery will be dead.If the battery is up,the next place to look is the battery-cables(Pos. and Neg.)One bad connection will shut down everything.Start with that, and also you can jack the cart up,set the rear-axle on stands, start the cart and recheck the voltage. It should increase at least 1-volt from what it read without it running(12-12.5v not running,13-14.5v running).Hope this helps.

Was the plug soaked? The float may be stuck in the carb, now its' flooding.Try unhooking the fuel-line at the inlet to the pump,to prevent more fuel being pumped.Set the rear-axle on stands,Crank it over a bit, then give it a shot of starting-fluid.If it starts, then you know its' a fuel-problem.Start with cleaning the carb and re-setting the float-height.Set it level with the gasket-surface of the bowl-flange.Hope this helps.

Ams sounds like you have a direct short in the wiring? It might be in the Voltage Regulator. unplug or cut the green ground wire coming off the regulator and see if it will run.
