The year 1994...
Okay, Im going to be getting a 1994 EZGO gasser (with a metal body) within the next few weeks and I have a question about it. I know there is a cutoff in there somewhere when the EZGOs were changed (1994.5). When looking for parts, am I looking for the parts that fall under the 1989-1994 range or the 1994-2001 range? I tried searching for my answer in this forum but i couldnt find anything.
Also, I know that I could probably get this answer by calling one of our site sponsors (and I still may call them tomorrow and post the answer in this thread) but I wanted to get it in here incase anyone else ever wants to search it. Thanks |

i believe 1994.5 was the last year of the marathon. i think in 95 they were referred to as the txt. you would be correct in looking for 89-94 marathon parts.

Re: The year 1994...
The one I am getting has a single seatback, so would that make it a medalist?
And if its a medalist i guess I would be looking for the 1994+ parts? stupid 1994. |

Yes ezgo in their infinite wisdom, always changed models mid year.
Technically, your cart is built on a TXT , the model is Medalist. You will find a few things specific to the medalist but mostly use the TXT parts 1994.5 to 2001.5 |

Re: The year 1994...
Thanks for the info. That's what i was hoping would be the case. I would like to get it the 5 inch drop axel lift and I could only find that for the 1994+ carts.

1fast I failed to mention that it had the single seatback when i posted earlier. that may have thrown you off if you assumed I had the standard marathon seat backs. I appreciate you trying to help! Thats what the forum is for!
