The main reason for using the 0-5k throttle was because the twin controllers won't necessarily work together with the ITS. The Alltrax documents only show dual controller use with 0-5k or 5-0k. I did not want to take a chance with any problems. The curtis PB6 I used cost the same as all the parts I would have needed for the ITS. |

Re: Used Badboy buggie Should I buy?
Now for some updates! The Golf Cart Battery Fairy showed up with this!
That right there is NINE EIGHT VOLTS! They dropped right in with a with a few controller programming changes. I used 12 volt solenoids all around powered from my auxiliary battery. That way I can use any voltage battery pack I chose. I also never liked having 72 volts routed all over the cart. Sorry for the bad pic. [IMG][/IMG] I reduced the max amps to %50 till I test these motors on 72 volts. This is just a teaser. I am planning a cool video this weekend! [IMG][/IMG] The reason for the battery upgrade so soon is receiving a almost free Ezgo 3 wheel cart that needs batteries. It will be my new feed cart around the farm. I was planning a 48 volt pack for it anyway, so instead of buying new batteries for it the big cart got the new volts! Now for some advice from the smart folks at BGW: 1-What gear ratio does my BBB have? Is it stock Ezgo? What is stock Ezgo ratio? I tried searching but I might just have to pull a motor and find out. 2-Estimated top speed on 48 volts was around 12 to 14 mph (it was so sad I did not bother to verify). Gps on 72 volts is 20mph up slight hill and 25mph down the same slight hill with both motors pulling. 3-IT HAS SO MUCH TORQUE! With both motors engaged at %50 amperage from the controllers it only stops going up hills due to loss of traction. I could stand a loss of torque for speed and I would like to add larger tires and move the 22" tires to the CC and move the CC tires to the yet to be built Ezgo feed cart. So I want 25" to 27" tires, Ill lift more if I need to. I want/need 30mph, I just can't stand having a 72 volt cart that won't get a speeding ticket in a school zone!. I want tires tall enough to hit 30 mph, I can increase the amps to the motors to compensate for the torque loss. How big of a tire do I need to hit 30 Mph? See question 1 cause I don't know the ratio yet. |

Love the cart. What Kind of range do you think it has with your current setup? And what did you do for a go pedal? |

Range is hard to say. I have gone as far as 30 miles on a charge with 2 people on paved roads in 2 wheel drive. One hunting trip is was so muddy and sticky I drained the pack in under 3 miles. That was with 4 large guys, a huge cooler and gear. The cart never got stuck but it was in mud up to the axles the whole time I was in 4 wheel drive the whole way. |

Re: Used Badboy buggie Should I buy?
Yea I am very pleased with the lithium batteries. I hope they last.
I watched some of your videos going thru the mud and water. What do you think the chances are of damaging your motors getting them soaking wet and sometimes submerging them like that? I am a bit nervous about water after one of my controllers took a dump after I washed the cart. Mine are sepex motors are yours series? I never knew BBB made a stretched cart like that. If I find one for a good price I'm going to get it. Keep up the good work! |

Its been through way deeper water than any of the videos. I just didn't have cameras available and was having too much fun throwing a big wake behind the cart to care about videoing. My cart is series, I would like some of the advantages of sepex but two more motors and two more controllers is a lot of money! For you or anyone looking at the older style BBB 4 seater stretch, just know the turning radius is terrible. My 55 Hp tractor can turn inside the circle the BBB can turn and thats with the front end loader and shredder attached! Also know the frame is not quit as strong as I think it should be. At 48 volt speeds and loads its probably fine. I am on borrowed time with higher speed, more battery weight and higher speed. I have plans to redo the frame with some rectangle steel tubing once it breaks. |

Re: Used Badboy buggie Should I buy?
I've had to replace the brake shoes on my '06 BBB Classic several times. It seems they are undersized considering the weight of the cart. Did you do anything to make yours stop better?
