Club Car 272 gas - wanting disc brakes
Does anyone make a kit for these carts to convert to disc brakes?

Re: Club Car 272 gas - wanting disc brakes
I bought a kit from Cart Parts Plus and installed them last year (www.cartpartsplus.com).
So far so good. They are working fine. You have to have 10" wheels or larger for the disk brakes to fit. A couple of things that surprised me was the fact that you have to pull the rear axles to get the old backing plate off (be sure to have a good set of snap ring pliers handy). Also you have to cut off the cable bracket tab near the rear axle. I used a sawzall and it cut pretty easily. The directions were pretty good with pictures, so it wasn't too hard to do. Hope this helps. |

a 272 has 4 wheel hydraulic brakes azdave.
I haven't seen a kit to convert to disk. I bought a kit from sunoco for the rear of a standard club car ds. I abandoned the attempt as it was proving more trouble than it was worth. However, I am seriously thinking of putting these on the front of my 272 or my pioneer 1200. I would not want to replace the factory rear system as you would loose the parking brake feature. |
