Default 97 club car fuel pump problems

Just bought a 97 club car, not running for 2 years. Installed new battery, cables, spark plug, fuel filter, fresh fuel, oil and filter. Engine turns over but no fuel being drawn into fuel pump. Checked vacuum line and could feel some suction(not sure how much is needed). Fuel lines are clear I have blown them out. Ordered new fuel pump. While waiting on pump any ideas of other things I should check? How much vacuum is needed from engine? New to gas golf carts have only had electric until now.
