1992 G8 fuel filter
Hi guys, Just recently got a 1992 G8 cart. Question is how do you access the fuel filter to change it? Have not jacked it up yet. Thought I'd asked the experts ahead of time.

The filter is built into a cap that screws in at the bottom of the tank. There is a sheet metal cover that covers access to that cap.
Taking that cover off will probably be difficult from the 4 small screws being rusted. I was lucky and got mine off, and I replaced mine with this aluminum cover. Anyway, the filter cap is behind that aluminum cover. Next best access may be to remove the air filter box and see if you can get to it from there. Or remove the tank from the car which may be best so as to clean it out before you install a new filter. |
