2004 Club Car lift Kit
I have just recently purchased a 2004 Club car that has had a lift kit and big tyres and rims fitted. This cart had a seized drive motor which I have had rewound. When you go to take off at low speed it jerks and does not travel smooth. When you look at the rear end and the diff it appears to move quite a bit. Would this be due to the lift kit that has been fitted? Looking for a bit of help as this is my first cart. Cheers.

Re: 2004 Club Car lift Kit
Check the tightness of the U-bolt nuts. They may or may not be the cause of your problem but they need to be checked monthly anyway.

U bolts... tighten them with a half inch impact till the plate starts to bend, that has been the only way i know to be sure there tight.

Re: 2004 Club Car lift Kit
Bit of an update on my issue. I have checked all the suspension and diff mounting bolts and all good. It appears to be electrical, when you feather the throttle it appears that the electric motor is cutting in and cutting out giving you a jerking motion. Could this be an issue with the controller ??

Re: 2004 Club Car lift Kit
Hopefully it's the MCOR (cheaper fix). With the key off, pump the go pedal 20-25 times then see if there's an improvement.

"Motor Controller Output Regulator" converts pedal movement into electrical values. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...explained.html
